Algae Cyanobacteria and Ultrasonic Management
What the evidence says
Algae problems are influenced by species, nutrients, temperature, light, water-column stability, depth, circulation and geometry. Cyanobacteria can create health risks, so visual identification is not enough where exposure is possible.
Why context matters
Published ultrasonic studies vary in frequency, intensity, exposure time, species and reactor conditions. Results from a laboratory reactor cannot be transferred directly to a reservoir, marina or lagoon without considering coverage, obstacles and field conditions.
Puroxi application
Puroxi ultrasonic selection begins with the algae type and water-body map. The DB 360 provides horizontal coverage; the Globe is chosen where downward coverage is required. Ultrasound can be supported by a separate circulation or Nano Bubble system, but the systems remain mechanically independent.
Site verification
- Obtain representative algae photographs and identification where possible.
- Record area, depth, islands, coves, inflows, outflows and obstructions.
- Establish baseline photographs and water-quality readings from fixed stations.
- Follow health-authority direction and toxin testing when a harmful bloom is suspected.
